Perth Winter Festival Event
On Saturday 19th November, Perth and Kinross Climate Action engaged with the community at the Perth Winter Festival.
Thank you to everyone that came along and made a climate pledge. Around 60 people made a pledge for the environment, including Councillors Liz and Peter Barrett who made several commitments to do their part to help tackle the climate emergency and improve biodiversity. Special thanks to Martin and Lucy from The HEAT Project for attending and providing free energy advice. Get in touch with the HEAT Project directly if you wish to book a free energy audit.

Winners of the beautiful chopping board, which was generously donated by Corbenic. The board was sustainably made by community members reusing offcuts of unwanted wood. Corbenic is one of many zero waste/ refill shops located within Perth and Kinross. If you are considering gifting more sustainably this festive period, why not visit a shop such a Corbenic. A list of zero waste and refill shops can be viewed on our interactive map.
The winner of a pollinator friendly plant! The Perth & Kinross Council Greenspace Team kindly donated the plants. Echinacea displays bright daisy-like flowers which look beautiful even before they burst into bloom. Wildlife including butterflies, bees and birds are attracted to them.
