Earth Hour
Worldwide | Free
Every year, at 8:30 pm on the last Saturday of March, millions of people across the world show their support for our planet, raising awareness of nature loss and climate change - the two biggest threats facing our one home.
The easiest way to participate in the Earth Hour movement is to simply switch off all non-essential lights for an hour. But Earth Hour is more than just an Hour for the planet - it's a movement for our future.
There are a variety of ways you can participate in Earth Hour this year. There are a host of events you can attend wherever you are in the world. Alternatively, you could host your own event such as organizing a nature-restoration community activity (e.g. tree planting), go stargazing, host a sustainable fashion show and more.
If you are staying in for Earth Hour you can turn off your lights and have a night of board games or book readings in candle-light. You can also use this hour to learn more about nature and biodiversity loss, climate change, and the solutions.
No matter where you are in the world, you can make an impact and join us for the Hour as we shape our future!
